Glass it the quintessential medium for a painter who sculpts. It is a material of light, which of course is exactly what painting is all about, value (the absence or otherwise of light) and colour (the spectrum of light). Sigh… I wish I could work with it everyday.

Year 2020

Year 2020 was a year in which the world as I knew it turned completely upside down. As covid-19 spread to all corners of the earth, I spent many hours watching the news and listening to how our world leaders handled (or failed to handle) the greatest health crisis of recent times. These works were created in response to my hopes and fears that somehow we would be led through the tragedy and grappling with my gradual understanding that Capitalism as a social structure is in its death throes.
